Spring is a great time to get outside and participate in some of the wonderful events happening in and around South Florida and Central Florida. We know how to have fun in the sunshine state, and there’s truly something for everyone, from foodies to music lovers, bikers, and more!
This list includes some of our favorite events taking place this March and April. Spring is such a great time to take a day trip or weekend getaway to join in on some of the fun happening in Florida. With highs in the upper 70’s and low 80’s, it’s the perfect temperature for some fun and adventure.
March Events:
Arcadia Rodeo

Pull out your cowboy boots and put on your ten-gallon hat - it’s time for the rodeo! The 92nd Annual Arcadia All-Florida Rodeo Championship brings the best riders, wranglers, and entertainment to one all-star event. Spectators can see barrel racing, bareback riding, a shoot out, cattle roping, and crowd favorite, the calf scramble.
Tickets are available online and range from $19 - $31 each. Join us in the covered arena and support the local community at an event that is sure to thrill!
Collier County Fair

Experience the sights, tastes, and thrills of the Collier County Fair - an event with something fun for everyone! This 18-day event is one of the longest-running fairs in the state and features 30 “Big” rides, like a Ferris Wheel and carousel, as well as kid-friendly rides for smaller guests. Fun and games abound, with classic fair games where you can win a teddy prize.
You’ll want to make plans to catch one of the amazing shows or musical acts coming through. From circus acts to performing tigers, pirates, robots, and more, the shows at the Collier County Fair are a feast for the eyes. Or if you prefer to catch the live music acts, you’ll want to check out the Jammin’ Jambalaya Mardi Gras Band, the Throwback Decades 80’s band, or the Tim McGraw Tribute band.
There will be a wide variety of livestock shows with goats, swine, steer, and more, plus great food from local vendors. This fair will be a great time for all! Be sure to check out their schedule to see which day has the entertainers you most want to see.
Firestone Grand Prix of St. Pete

Drivers, start your engines! Get ready for the most exciting Grand Prix in all of Florida - the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Pete! Located right on Tampa Bay on a bayside track, this Indycar race features three days of the best drivers flying through the streets of St. Petersburg, FL. For race fans, this is a must-see event!
This year’s race features races from the Porsche GT3 Cup, Indy Lights, and the Indy Pro 2000 for the main event! Drivers include names like Josef Newgarden, Patricio O’Ward, Marco Andretti, and Alexander Rossi.
Racegoers have lots of options for attending the event, including a special RV Spectators section! Tickets are on sale and range from $85 to $145 for 1 to 3 day passes, with shuttle service available for race fans. If you plan to attend be sure to check out all of the race day policies, and be sure to visit Waterfront St. for the festival, autographs from drivers, fantastic views of the bay, and more!
Marco Island Seafood and Music Festival

If you enjoy delicious food and great music, this event is for you! Supporting the local community, the Marco Island Seafood and Music Festival offers attendees three full days live music from Catch a Wave - Beach Boys Tribute Band, Absolute Queen, and South Florida’s own Ben Allen Band.
Local vendors will be lined up to give you a taste of their delicious shrimp po boys, alligator skewers, jambalaya, and more! And don’t forget to bring your ID for delightful frozen margaritas, pina coladas, and wine. Visit the arts and crafts fair to see the handiwork of local artisans as well. Tickets are $10 for one day, $16 for two days with free parking at the event.
April Events
Tampa Bay Blues Festival

The 25th Anniversary Tampa Bay Blues Festival is sure to be the best one yet! With a killer lineup of artists like JJ Grey & Mofro, Larkin Poe, Aaron Neville, Jimmie Vaughn, Danielle Nicole and many more, you should be ready for three fabulous days of fun. Blues lovers from all over the world flock to the beautiful Vinoy Park to hear some of the best American Blues music around all while overlooking the waterfront.
Aside from the world-class musical performances, the festival is also host to delicious food and drink including seafood, barbeque, Cuban cuisine, beer, wine, and mixed drinks as well as arts & crafts. Just outside the festival grounds is lovely downtown St. Petersburg boasting its many restaurants, clubs and the world-renowned Dali Museum.
General Admission and VIP tickets are available for purchase for individual days as well as the full festival ranging in price from $45 advance one-day to $550 advance Three Day Blues Club VIP. You won’t want to miss this!
Festa Italiana Tampa
When: April 4 – 5

Bocce and Bellinis
When: April 4, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: Centennial Park, 1800 E Ave
This first event of Festa Italiana will be fun and free for all ages! With activities including a Bocce Invitational, Cooking Demos, a Vino Competition, a grape stomp, the Ybor City Saturday Market and more, you can expect a great time for the whole family.
Wine Fest of Italy
When: April 5, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: The Italian Club, 1731 E 7th Avenue
The second and final event of Festa Italiana Tampa is the perfect event for wine lovers. You will have the opportunity to sample over 100 wines, primarily from Italy while also tasting Italian cuisine and some of the best food from Tampa’s finest restaurants and caterers. All the while you can be sipping on complimentary craft cocktail samples, frozen bellinis and prosecco. There will also be a silent auction featuring over 100 items up for bid. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to purchase your favorite bottles of wine after having sampled them! Prices of admission to this 21 and up event begin at $50.
Leesburg Bike Fest

This event is perfect for all the bike and music lovers out there! The Leesburg Bike fest boasts more than 55 concerts, 200+ vendors, bike shows, bike demonstrations and stunt shows in seven different venues all over the course of three days!
All of downtown Leesburg’s restaurants will be for the taking, but the festival also has vendors offering food from fried cheese & veggies to Italian sausage, and even funnel cake and deep-fried candy bars. This one may be a bit of a drive, but will be well worth your while. The festival has 8 RV parks available for the event, and the parking offered in Leesburg is in Not-for-Profit “Park and Walk Lots” located all over downtown.
Siesta Fiesta
When: April 25 – 26, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days

The 42nd Annual Siesta Fiesta is almost here! This huge outdoor block-party style event keeps growing bigger and bigger each year and we know why! The Siesta Key Village will be packed with hundreds of arts and craft vendors, merchants, food stands, and live musicians.
Expect gorgeous weather and a nice sea breeze as you meander through the booths and the celebration. Fiesta admission is free! Parking is often a struggle, so they recommend walking or biking down from another location or taking the Siesta Breeze free trolley service.
