It's All About Your RV Location

Everything you love about Florida

Imagine spending your winter in the sunshine state, where the average high is 74°F, and the weather won’t slow you down. There are a million reasons to travel to Florida during cooler months, but some of the most popular reasons are that there’s no shoveling snow, no icy sidewalks to slip on, and no reason to stay indoors for half of the year. Sound okay to you? Nice, right?

Warm daytime temperatures provide you ample opportunity to get out and stay active. Lace-up your tennis shoes and explore our 3-mile hiking trails or enjoy the peaceful beauty of nature as you meander through our 30-acre Nature Preserve. Here, you don’t have to hang up your golf clubs for the winter. Our 9-hole executive golf course allows you to enjoy year-round play, with your significant other or a fellow RVer. Just be aware. Your friends back home are going to be jealous when they see pictures of you relaxing poolside living the Florida lifestyle.

What we love about Bowling Green, FL

Torrey Trails RV and Golf Resort is located in beautiful Bowling Green, Florida, just a few seconds off of US Hwy 17. You’ll find it centrally located to everywhere you want to be in Southwest Florida - Fort Myers, Ocala, Tampa, The Villages, and Orlando area, etc. but without the traffic, congestion, and air pollution. You can breathe easy in the Florida countryside at Torrey Trails.

We also love the community that makes up Bowling Green and Torrey Trails. Here you will find that small-town experience that you crave. Mingle with your neighbors in the clubhouse or during one of our many community-wide events. Here you’ll also strike up friendly competitions during a Pickleball or tennis match with fellow players. Want to mingle with the locals? Take a short ten-minute drive to the Main Street Community of Wauchula, where you can shop, dine, and enjoy community-wide events, like movies on the lawn.

You’re Close to Everything you want to Visit in Florida

Visit State Parks

We are so fortunate to be located close to some amazing state parks. Explore Payne’s Creek State Park in Bowling Green which preserves the history of a 1840s outpost with a great museum educating visitors about the lives of Florida's Seminole Indians and pioneers during the 19th century. You will also love Little Manatee River State Park near Sun City, which is home to one of the most pristine blackwater rivers in Southwest Florida! Channel your inner cowboy and celebrate your western heritage at Lake Kissimmee State Park. Among the lake, surrounded by abundant nature and miles of hiking trails, you’ll encounter an 1876 era cow camp complete with a real-life Florida Cow Hunter in a frontier camp!

Take a Trip to the Beach

If you are craving the smell of saltwater, which, let’s be honest, this is Florida after all, you can quickly and easily feel the sand between your toes on a day trip to one of our state’s premier gulf coast beaches. Shell collecting aficionados travel from all over the world to explore the shell selection at Sanibel Island, and you can too in less than three hours from Torrey Trails. Or you can travel only ninety minutes to the coastal area that has a reputation as one of America’s Best Beaches, Siesta Key Beach. And don’t forget to plan at least one visit to the beach voted #1 in the U.S., Clearwater Beach. The pure white sand along the banks of the sparkling gulf coast waters will provide you all the vitamin sea you need to clear your mind and raise your spirits.

Heart-pumping Experiences

You don’t have to travel too far if relaxing becomes too much or the grandkids are visiting to get a splash of big-city entertainment. In nearby Tampa, home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, you can take in a major league football game or get your adrenaline pumping at Busch Gardens. Culturally rich Sarasota will provide you with plenty of opportunities to appreciate the arts at one of their many museums or theaters. You’ll even find public art purposely placed throughout the downtown district for your enjoyment.

You also don’t have to travel too far to find a whole lot of amusement park fun at the Theme Park Capital of the World - Orlando. Six different theme parks make up the Walt Disney World experience including the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and two water parks. However, there is so much more to the Disney experience to enjoy without even entering a theme park. At Universal Studios, you may very likely run into witches and wizards visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter or run into your favorite Marvel superheroes at Islands of Adventure. To round out the trifecta, Universal Studios also offers the Volcano Bay waterpark for some wet fun. Speaking of water, Seaworld is a great place to get up close and personal with marine animals like dolphins, sharks, walruses, and beluga whales, but it’s also filled with exciting rides and educational opportunities.

Hidden Gems of Florida

We think that some of the lesser-known attractions make for the most amazing experiences. We encourage you to take the time to explore the gorgeous gardens at Bok Tower Garden. Here there is something to always learn or discover in the ever-changing living work of art that makes up more than fifty acres of landscaped gardens. It may be challenging to pronounce, but you won’t regret a visit to the home of the Ringlings circus king and his wife, Ca’ d'Zan Mansion. The last of the gilded mansions, the Ca’ d’Zan is the grandest mansion on Florida’s Suncoast and currently stands as one of America’s architectural treasures. If you are on a mission to see a Florida alligator, crocodile, manatee or dolphin you need to plan a trip to the 1.5 million acres of wetland that makes up the Everglades National Park. Since most of the park is only accessible by water, canoeing or kayaking is your best mode of transportation to take in the wildlife and vegetation of the Glades.

Play the Links

For all of the avid golfers out there, we made sure to provide you an opportunity to play right here at Torrey Trails, but we would be remiss if we did not mention that some of the best Golf Courses in the world are located right here in Florida. Hit the legendary links of Old Corkscrew in Estero. This Jack Nicklaus signature designed course features eighteen holes of world-class championship golf. One of Southwest Florida's best-kept secrets is the Riverwood Golf Club in Port Charlotte. This Par 72 Championship course is consistently Top Rated in Golf Digest for its unique design and natural beauty. Just down the road from us, you can play three different courses at Streamsong. You choose the Black, Red, or Blue course, all built in the traditional Scottish style by four legendary architects, for a day full of challenging fun!
